CONNECTIVE PRACTICE STUDY GROUPS

Set up a social sculpture-connective practice study group. Share reflections and become part of a global social sculpture community.

This ‘call’ to set up a study group in the field of social sculpture and connective practice is part of the Kassel-21 Social Sculpture Lab.

One aim of the study groups is to inspire and support each other across disciplines, cultures and contexts in the field of transdisciplinary social art, and to build a global community of people who can reflect together on Beuys social sculpture ideas and proposals and/or Shelley Sacks ‘connective practice’ approach, that some might have come into contact with.

A study group might work with readings and/or conversations and questions.

It could be an online network or a working group that meets locally.

Study groups that form during the lab will hopefully come together online, at least once before the end of 2021, to share their explorations and reflections.

The study groups might also give rise to proposals and ideas for initiatives, which could be followed through in the global Social Sculpture Lab after 2021.

If you are interested in forming / coordinating a study group, please contact us.

The first conversation about forming study groups will be on
